Timely and substantiated feedback from leadership is extremely important.

I plan on doing a much deeper dive into each step of the approach as part of this series.  I&#039;ll talk about the idea evaluation process then.

		<description>One more thing should be mentioned in conclusion.  As a leader, if you have a formal idea proposed to you and you decide not to move forward with it, PLEASE give the source of the idea a _good_ reason as to why you feel this is a detrimental change.  It really should be backed up with some evidence/research to show that you actually examined the proposal and didn&#039;t simply issue a knee jerk order to stop.  This should be done in a timely maner, not whenever you feel like it.  This should perform 2 functions: First showing that you do indeed care and are attentive, second providing the idea creator with valuable feed back and information so that future innovation proposals don&#039;t contain the same errors.</description>
